Lydia Winters spent more than 13 years as Chief Storyteller, Chief Brand Officer, and Brand Director for Mojang AB in Stockholm, where she has lived and worked since 2011. She led the brand vision and strategy for the global Minecraft franchise, serving as a main spokesperson for the game.
Lydia was one of the founders of the Block by Block program with UN-Habitat in 2012. Prior to her work at Mojang, Lydia was a professional photographer and an elementary teacher in St. Petersburg, Florida. In 2010 she started her own YouTube show about learning to play Minecraft. She earned a global following and soon found herself moving to Sweden to work on Minecraft from within the company.
Lydia was named one of Sweden’s Most Powerful Women in Digital and landed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2016.
