Stacy created her YouTube channel, StacyPlays, in 2013. Her videos have been viewed more than 900 million times and include series with themes like reading, science, and animal rescue.
Stacy has partnered with Microsoft on a number of philanthropic campaigns, including Coral Crafters, a project with The Nature Conservancy to help restore coral reefs off the coast of Mexico. She also hosted a building contest to raise awareness for Minecraft + WWF's panda initiative. In 2017, she teamed with Minecraft Education Edition to present their Hour of Code challenge, “A Hero's Journey,” with Code.org. She has been featured at two MINECONs (London and Anaheim, California), nine Minefaire conventions, and MINECON Live (Nashville) and appeared as herself in Minecraft: Story Mode, seasons 1 and 2.
In 2016, Stacy co-hosted a Block by Block fundraising livestream with her friend Stampy at Mojang’s offices in Stockholm, Sweden. She officially joined the Block by Block team in 2020 as an ambassador, leading fundraising efforts from the Minecraft community.
Stacy has a journalism degree from Brigham Young University and is the author of the New York Times bestselling children’s series Wild Rescuers—inspired by Minecraft—about a girl and her pack of wolves who travel around the world helping animals.
Stacy loves walking her 10-year-old rescue dog on public walking trails in her small town and enjoys camping year-round in both state and national parks.
